Are there any good boutiques in Edinburgh?

Im going to Edinburgh in early February and thought while im there I may as well have a look for a dress for a wedding Im going to. I don't want to buy it in a high street shop like Coast, Reiss etc but in a one off boutique so that I can find something unique! Are there any good places like that in Edinburgh, and if so where are they???

Thanks!!

There are hundreds of such shops in Edinburgh, without knowing what sort of thing you are looking for I can only point you in the direction of areas of the city known for good shopping - Morningside, Bruntsfield, Corstorphine, Grassmarket, New Town, George Street, York Place, Broughton Street, Old Town, St Mary's Street, High Street.... I could go on and on.

There are also many shops which stock clothes from the best and most currently popular designers, try Jenners and Harvey Nicols for starters, then John Lewis and Frasers.

Glasgow has the better reputation for shopping, but you'd be hard pushed to not find something in Edinburgh to your taste, whatever it might be.
