Is the PS network down?

I keep on getting the 'the connection timed out' when I try to sign in my PSN. The web browser works well so there is nothing broken in my PS3 and even my connection is working.So that leaves only one possibility and that is there is some problem with the PSN.

I was able to access it a few days ago but now, it's showing me errors

Is there any solution to this problem or should I just wait for Sony to solve it.

Please Help me out here guys.Is somebody else suffering from the same problem?

P.S.:While typing this, I was able to sign in but after 2 min, it says the connection timed out wtf!!!

    i suggest resetting your router if you are using wireless or modem if hardwired and then you it should reset you IP and if the D/cs are still happening go to your internet browser on your computer and type 192.168.2.1 and that will access your routers settings page and check to see what type of connection settings you have and trying a different security settings or just simply reset all device connections to your router this should solve your problem

    are you using WiFi coz a wired connection is more stable...
