Duevel Planets-anyone use these omni directional speakers?

Was wondering if anyone could give me an opinion as to what kind of sound I can expect from these speakers. There are no dealers anywhere near where I live.

http://www.duevel.com/Produkte/EPlanets.shtml

I am currently looking at upgrading my speakers and want to know how these compare to a decent hi-midfi speaker. For comparision, I am also looking at the following speakers in the $1100 to $1900 price range and have listened to them all except for the BG Radia.

Dali Ikon 6

Monitor Audio Silver RS6

BG Radia Z7

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Update:

To answer the questions...I currently have a 5.1 and 2 channel setup in the same room on the same speakers. My two systems are...

2 channel (pure music)

Marantz AV-550 pre-amp

Adcom GFA-555 mkII (200 watts per channel)

marantz sacd/cd

Boston Acoustic Lynnfield VR40's

5.1 system

Outlaw Audio model 970 pre-amp processor

Rotel 5 channel amp

PS3 (games and blue ray)

Xbox 360 (games, hd-dvd, dvd)

Mains- Boston Acoustics Lynnfield VR40's

Center- BA Lynnfield VR12

Surround- Genesis Technology Genre III's

Paradigm subwoofer

Epson CinemaLite 400 projectory (9' x5' screen...oh yeah!) 720p

I have had my BA Lynnfield VR40's for many years and they are incredible speakers. But it is time to upgrade and I have found several speakers that sound better. Mainly the ones listed above. I forgot to ad that I am also looking at the Totem Sttaf's.

What I need to know is how the Planets sound in the all important midrange compared to normal speakers. And if they have a lot of bass. I hate to much bass.

Update 2:

By the way, I listened to Martin Logans. They sound ok but they are waaaaayyyyyy to dependent on having the sweet spot set up right. And I want a speaker with more options for room placement.

I also tried the new Martin Logan Preface with the AFT driver. Not to dis ML but I wasnt to impressed with the sound. I mean....they are OK, but for the price (or a little more) the Dali Ikon 6 with its hybrid ribbon tweeter BLEW THEM AWAY. Just to my ears of course. Also, the cabinet construction was a little shoddy for a speaker in this price range.

Just my observations. Thanks so much for the input so far and if anyone can give me some info on the imaging of the planets or what I can expect compared to traditional drivers that would be great.

Thanks.

I think if you like what you have you should stick with it. Why waste money on what is not bread and spend money on what doesn't satisfy.

If you like your system the way it is don't go chasing after the wind. You will wast your time. If you want to upgrade then go to audioholics.com read there for a good list of speakers.

My system is made up of the following and I think it's perfect for me.

Receiver:Onkyo SR705 THX certified., Fronts: Infinity Beta 20s Center: Infinity Beta 250 Rears and Sides: Kef 2001.2, Subwoofer: Dayton SUB-100 Projector: Optoma EP719

I bought all these from 3 places

    accessories4less

    ebay

    craigslist

Mix and match those up and you will have a great system. If your system is comparable I doubt you could really improve that much. Which much of it being perception.

Question do you have a home theater or do you mainly list to music?

Do you already have a system?

Take a look into the Martin Logan Preface Towers... there beautiful speakers...

And dont mix and match unless its a subwoofer... you will never receive the same quality through out your system... Thats like using a Tower for your center channel...

Martin Logans powered at 4ohms you will be amazed....carried at your local best buy
