Question about taxes being offset?
Our taxes have been accepted through turbo tax. We know they should be offset due to back child support but are still expecting some leftover. Will the irs notify us of the offset or turbo tax? RIght now it says our check will be send around 2/6.

The IRS will send you a letter in the mail about it. Also, we had an offset one year and once they intercept it, it takes forever to get the remainder. It is supposed to be quick but it is not. It took them eight weeks longer to issue the remaining amount to us.
