How to make seeds stick to breads and rolls when baking?

The key to success when it comes to baking with seeds is forever eluding me. I always end up with 90 percent of the seeds I added falling off. Are there any tricks to making them set on?

Brush the top of the dough with egg white, then sprinkle on your seeds. This will help them stick and give your breads a nice golden sheen.

In the bakeries I've worked in, they spray the tops of the bread with water before putting the seeds on. We throw the seeds on top and it make a huge mess since anything that doesn't stick falls on the floor.

I worked in a bakery years ago and we always brushed the bread with beaten whole eggs before sprinkling on the seeds. The egg gives it a good shine as well.

Egg white brushed on first then add the seeds.
