What is the best cleaner to clean the inside of a stove and stovetop.?

My stove seriously needs a good cleaning. I would love to get it looking almost brand new.

I'm still satisfied with Easy Off using the warm oven technique. Warm it to about 120. Turn off and spray. Close door and leave for an hour. Come back spray again then use SOS or Brillo pads or steel wool balls. For the racks, put them into a garbage bag, add a quart or more of ammonia, seal and set in sun. The heat and ammonia will loosen the black aiding in removal. Easy off on racks can dull the racks.

Once oven is spotless, wipe out with vinegar and water rinse to neutralize the Easy Off. Of course wear gloves for whole process.

My mother would warm the oven at night, set in a bowl of ammonia and seal up the oven...towels around the door to keep in fumes. Next day the stuff was loosened, not loose, but easy to scrape off.

Don't let your oven get gross in the future. It not only affects whatever you bake......say a pie.......but could even catch fire.

Stove top will not take Easy Off. Use ammonia unless we are talking smooth cook top, then use the special cleaners, though dry baking soda is a good first step.
