can my 13yr old sister travel by her self?

my Little sister is doing good in school so, me and my husband would like to fly her out to ny for the summer. she lives in California is that to young to fly alone? thank u

    Well , some airlines do, but if they do u (or your parents) will have to fill out a form in which u will have 2 tell that who is gonna drop her off to the airport from which she will be going TO California and who will be picking her up IN California . but the airlines that i travel with do that for people 12years old and younger , so if i were u i would call the airline from which you are planning to send her from and ask them

    no thats not too young to fly alone if she feels like she would be comfortable doing so. also because shes a minor a lot of airlines offer an escort to the gate or a lot of times the parents can get a pass to go down to the gate as well and then you might be able to get a pass on your end to go down to meet her when she gets off the plane.

    if the airline allows it. if its a problem the airlines that don't allow it, do have a fee you can pay to have her escorted on the flights. i had to do that for someone.
