How can I stay at Fairchild AFB?
My soon-to-be husband is joining the Air Force, and after all the training and such, I really want to be able to stay at Fairchild. Our families and friends are here, and I don't want to go to Texas or anything? Can we request to live at this base?

MOS is an Army term. The Air Force has AFSC (Air Force Specialty Code). After you are married, you would go to his duty area unless it was restricted. You may or may not be able to get base housing. I would suggest waiting until you find out his assignment and then investigating the housing situation. Wanting a specific base is everyone's dream. You get what they need you at per current manning requirements.

Like "Chelsy." said if you are in the military you do not have a choice of where you want to stay. You are told at which base you are going to stay, and you live there with out asking any questions. But you can try and get a transfer. So just hope that he gets stationed at Fairchild AFB, and you can stay there, Good luck!

You can request to, but it probably won't do any good.
Your hubby's MOS usually has a lot to do with where you go.
As with any branch of the military, you're told where to go & that's where you go. No questions asked. Now, if you go somewhere you're stationed & not satisfied, you can put in for an out of state transfer.
Good luck!

Maybe if he goes to SERE training. Highly doubt that. And/or becomes a SERE technician
