New Orleans Golf Question?

Just found out that I will be at a conference in the French Quarter the first week of August. Never been to New Orleans and am pretty psyched. So two questions: (1) is August to unbearably hot to play in New Orleans? (2) where should I make a tee time -- need good sugestions. I am a beginner, but have really learned to love the game last year. So where should I play?

I would recommend English Turn or Tpc Louisiana. These are the two nicest courses in the state and I live in Louisiana. It not to hot to play golf though.

It may be hot and muggy as it was in July. If you stay at a hotel have the concierge make inquiries regarding courses which will accomodate open play. You should have little trouble getting in a course at that time.
