  • Using Netgear RangeMax WPN824 as Bridge?

Please forgive me, while I am pretty decent with computers I am a functional illiterate when it comes to networks. So I may be using terminology wrong or asking the most basic of questions.

I have a Linksys Router (AC1600 Dual BandSmart Wi-Fi Router) that is hooked up to my desktop and cable modem and provides wireless access to my house (for the laptop, Ipads, etc.)

I also have a Netgear RangeMaz WPN825 Router that I wasn't using. I recently bought a blue-ray player that I can't return that I misread the features on the box and I thought had wifi, but its only wired. In other words I need to connect the blue-ray into the network using a cable. So I thought, Can I use the RangeMax Netgear to connect the blue ray? Do I just turn it on, plug it in and enter the network id on the blue-ray (like when I connect the ipad?) Will the netgear router automatically pick up the signal from the Linksys and broadcast it? I know its not top of the line anymore, but It should be good enough for the limited times I want to use the blue-ray and access HBOGo, etc.

Bonus question...will this increase the range of the Linksys router automatically too?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Any experience with the disease? thanks in advance.

  • How do we fix this economy?

OK, this is for a serious debate. Lets start with the premises that the country needs economic fixing. To much debt! I think we can all agree on that. Not making any comments on who caused the debt or which party is at fault. So at a static moment in time -- right now, today. We have 14.6+ trillion in debt.

So, how do we get out of debt. If you say raise taxes, on who, how much, how much would be raised.

IF you say cut spending, what programs, how much.

Second, how do we create jobs. Be specific. We don't have manufacturing in this country, we are service based. So where would jobs come from? Who would work them? Who creates them?

Serious comments only please. Not Obama sucks or rebublicans suck answers. Lets be specific. I think if we look at this seriously, we realize that there are no easy solutions.

We have been debating this at work and it has become circular. Want some fresh ideas in the mix.

  • Torn ACL on a Dog. Any experience?

Has anyone had a Cavalier get a torn acl? All of a sudden two days ago my usualy very hyper Cavalier was not so hyper and refused to jump on the couch or bed (an activity he usually does frequently.) Took him to the vet, thinking it may be lymes disease. Vet thought it was a torn (partial) ACL. Xrays can't show a tear (need an MRI for that and they don't do that at the vet), but showed "fluid" on the knee. Vet proscribed rest (easier said than done) and an anti-inflamatory. Anyone have this happen to their dog? Any idea about recovery time? suggestions?

    Thanks!

  • New Orleans Golf Question?

Just found out that I will be at a conference in the French Quarter the first week of August. Never been to New Orleans and am pretty psyched. So two questions: (1) is August to unbearably hot to play in New Orleans? (2) where should I make a tee time -- need good sugestions. I am a beginner, but have really learned to love the game last year. So where should I play?

  • Why is the LA TImes Supressing a Video of Obama's Ties with PLO Terrorists?

The LA Times refuses to release a video tape of Barack Hussein Obama at a 2003 farewell bash in Chicago lavishing praise on the guest of honor, Rashid Khalidi — former mouthpiece for master terrorist Yasser Arafat.

Why is the LA Times refusing to release this video tape? Is there something on it that would embarrass the junior senator from Illinois? Why would a major media outlet suppress important news days before one of the most important elections in the United States history? Why do we as citizens stand for this? Why is there no outrage at the LA Times? Why isnt the Barrack Hussein Obama campaign ordering them to release the tape?

Will the MSM ever wake up and actually give us real news?

  • Big Bertha 2006 Irons with Uni-Flex Steel Shafts.?

Just ordered a set of Big Bertha 2006. Uni-Flex steel, 4-PW and SW. Hopefully, they will be delivered next week. Got them on E-bay for $310. Can't wait to hit them. I am sure they will be a hge improvement over my wilson firesticks.

    Anyway, my questions

    (1) anyone know the lofts of these clubs?

    (2) should I spend the money for an A-wedge or look for another brand gap style wedge?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Dress Code In Golf?

Please tell me why, it must be collared shirts and no shorts. Shorts to the knee are so bad that I should not be allowed to play? A shirt without a collar is not as good as the identical shirt with a collar?

I mean good thing I read the rules of this course before going, but come on.

So my question, Why? IS it just an elitist thing that we like to thing we are better than everyone else and must dress nicer?

  • Question about taking relief from a cart path.?

I was playing a round and on one hole I hit my drive like I never hit it before. 220-230 in the air and another 30 or 40 on the ground. For me, thats an absolute crushing. To bad, this particular hole is a dog leg left, and I overshot the fairway and landed on the cart path. The fairway is lined by rough then lined by a thick row of trees, then the cart path. So, not exactly knowing the rules, I tried to hit off the cart path (I thought that was the rule.) What happens, I hit it right into the middle of the trees. Third shot, from the trees, ends up bouncing off a trunk and more trees. Fourth shot, finaly onto the fairway. Fifth into the greenside bunker. Sixth on the green, Eigth in the hole. So, after a 270 yard drive I get a freakin 8. On the next hole, someone said, why didn't you move the ball off the path.

Where should I have moved it? Onto the rough? straight line where it landed? one club length from the trees?

  • Topping the Ball?

I find that I hit the top of the ball with my Irons (not off the tee) . Any idea how to stop doing that? My divots are behind the ball, instead of in front. Am I placing the ball wring in my stance? Is it an arm thing? A pivot thing? A i really stink at this game and should through my clubs into the water hazard around the 8th fairway thing?

    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

  • Need Trade Help, Fantasy Keeper League -- Blalock for Doumit?

I need a catcher. My catcher is Posada, who is on the DL. The trade also involves me giving up from my minor league roster Homer Bailey for Gio Gonzalez and Jake Mcgee. I would have to drop another minor leaguer. My team right now is:

    C Jason Kendall

    1B David Ortiz

    2B Kazuo Matsui

    3B Ty Wigginton

    SS Bobby Crosby

    OF Adam Dunn

    OF Nate McLouth

    OF Josh Hamilton

    Util Derrek Lee

    BN Aaron Rowand

    BN Orlando Hudson

    BN Chone Figgins

    BN Jorge Posada

    DL Hank Blalock

    Minor Leagues

    Chase Headley

    Elvis Andrus

    Jeff Niemann

    Chris Perez

    Phillip Humber

    Donald Veal

    Brandon Morrow

    Chip Cannon

    Chris Davis

    Homer Bailey

What do you all think? This worth it? Is Baily for real? He stunk last year, but is ripping it up in the minors now. Is Doumit the next Irod or V Martinez? Should I just wait for Jorge to come back and keep Blalock and hope his power and health return? If I do this, who from my minor leagues should I drop?

  • Anyone else think the Olympics should not be held in China?

China has one of the worst human rights records of any country. They violate the spirit of the Olympic games. Why would the IOC award the games to China? Anyone else think China should not have been allowed to host the games?
