How can I be sure that God really loves me even though at times I fall into sin?
I have a pretty good high self-esteem about myself, but when I do something bad it lowers. I'm saved and everything, but when I do the wrong thing I feel like God doesn't love me for doing wrong.

We may think that a God of love would never allow his children to feel any pain. But sometimes God breaks us to make us better. He may break our hearts so we can discover His will for us. He may break our physical strength so we discover that God's strength is made perfect in our weakness (see 2 Corinthians 12:9).

Well, because you are saved, I can say that it's because the Bible tells us so. 1 John 4:8 tells us that God is love. John 3:16, which everyone knows, tells us that because God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Why would He give His Son if He was going to stop loving us?
There are many other examples, but if you would like, this website might be of great help: http://www.allaboutgod.com/god-is-love.htm It's not very long, but it's long enough to get the point across. None of us are perfect, but that's why we need His love. And we have His love because He tells us that He will (and does) supply all of our needs. I wish you luck during this battle, and I will continue to pray for you.

Because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. However all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Therefore if you believe you are delivered from death. Whats happening is the Holy Spirit within you is making you feel bad about what you're doing because you have a conscience to distinguish between good and evil. When we who have the Spirit of God live in sin we grieve the Spirit. Pray for forgiveness and try your best to flee from sin. God is with you if you believe.

It is impossible for you not to sin, it is human nature. Thats why Jesus when Jesus died on the cross, all your sins died with Him. He prayed for God to forgive humans of all sins, past present and future. That means, even sins that you havent commited and dont even know about have already been forgiven. Take heart, our God is pure LOVE and He already knows every bad thing you may accidentally do. There is no way you can avoid messing up it is going to happen. Even if its really bad, its already coverded and forgiven because Jesus died with it along time ago. God loves you forever, even when you didnt really know Him He loved you. The thought that He wouldnt love you for messing up comes from Satan, he wants to trick you into thinking that if your bad then God will hate you. Satan will try to do this to try to get in between your relationship with you and God. Dont worry hon, it is impossible to not sin just know God loves you even for who you are, no matter what even at your darkest moments...
Sometimes when you sin God actually pushes you back to Him. He has a way of taking catastrophes and turning them into something beautiful

The bible says that there is sorrow that produces repentance, which is good, and sorrow that brings death. Allow the sorrow that makes you want to change. Don't allow the sorrow that is hopeless and condemning.
You can be sure that he loves you mentally, but sometimes you need to feel it. God to him in quietness and waiting for him to show you his reassurance of his love if you are having strong doubts. Eventually, you will learn how to be confident of his love even after you sin.

May I speak to you as a friend? Please find a good bible study. In this day and age, the word of God is our foundation, our help and our protection. It will tell you that no child of God, born again in His son, will ever be turned away from God. It tells us if we sin, we have an advocate in Christ, and our sin if confessed is always forgiven.
There are hundreds of promises and assurances in His word for those who love Him. Please get into the bible and read. It will be a light to your path and a lamp to your feet, every day of your life.

He loves you , but God is also Holy and He expects obedience
Sin separates you from God, no matter how large or small you deem sin is , Sin is Sin and It takes you from Him .
When you know you do wrong and even before you actually do it you know its wrong....so Stop right there and ask yourself....why you would ever consider even for a moment to be separate from Him ?
What at if that moment you sinned , He returned ? You wouldn't go with Him cause your sin , separated you from Him....Think about that fact...
Its you that separates yourself from Him by your sin....its not Him separating Himself from you.....He never leaves us nor forsakes us...its us who forsakes Him !!

nicely it particularly is in basic terms a sin while you're Catholic (an in basic terms specific Catholics at that) and plus you will finally advance out of it. you're a teenage boy (likely, if no longer the respond remains a similar) you decide on some kind of hormonal launch the two that or you will pass loopy. have confidence me God made you and your hormones if he did no longer decide on you to masturbate he might are becoming to be rid of your hormones and your techniques to realize this (which might suck, so thank God)

there's nothing you can do to make god love you more there's nothing you can do to make god not love you. although god does not like sin and it can separate us from him,by repenting and not doing that thing again cause's it to be like you never sinned before.this is why christ died for your sins all of them. so when you fall get back up again. he bible says though a righteous man may fall 7 times he rises again. so rise agian

My answer for you is God isn't going to leave you. Only you can leave him. It's a choice. The Bible explains everything best.
