Can you buy defective games and emulate them?
Is it legal to, say, buy a completely destroyed copy of bubble bobble 2 NES (costs 110$$) and emulate it online or would it be illegal?

This falls outside the EULA of the license agreement for the game. Unless you purchase the 'rights' of redistribution it is technically illegal and you can be prosecuted if the company was really looking for money.
