A memorial garden for my cat .?
My little buddy of 15 years passed away last July. I would like to plant a garden in my yard where he is buried to remember him by. Any suggestions? His personality was very loving and sweet and when I first saw him I was in love. He was a rescue cat from a barn. Any help would be appreciated.

How sweet-so sorry for your loss, and this is a beautiful idea to commemorate him!
How about a bird bath surrounded by assorted wild flowers to signify he is now free and his spirit lives on. I am sure he would be in kitty heaven surrounded by nature and birds !

My cat had to be put down at age 20; I bought a clear plastic box (like those shoe boxes, only bigger) wrapped him in a little blanket.
I buried the box in a Special place put a little wrought iron fence around it and bought one of those memory rocks advertised in the catalog's like Collectionsetc.com or Carol Wright or Lillian Vernon.
He is close to me and if I have to move I can take him with me. P.S. Sorry for your loss too.

Just a couple of flowers that popped into my head while reading your question... catmint, maybe? It's a very pretty purple flower - google it if you like for pictures. It has a lovely sweet smell, for his personality. Maybe forget-me-nots as well, to remember him... they're 2-3 foot wildflowers with little blue specks of colour all over. They say that Rosemary is for memory, too. It looks quite a bit like catmint. Maybe that will help?
