Parakeet Rolling Over?!?

Is he supposed to do that?! Calypso, my parakeet has a knack for being withdrawn and lazy. Partially this is because he has had scaly face mites for about a few weeks now. I took him to the vet immediately in December and he's looking a lot healthier now. He never really chirps or moves much, he just sits on his perch and stands all day. But for some strange reason today he started looking in his mirror, chirping and "squawking", not sure if this is because he is irritated or confused, and rolling over. He all of a sudden started acting very erratically and am wondering if it's something to be concerned of. I'm thinking maybe he's hyper. I am currently trying to get him to switch to pellets but he refuses to eat them so he picks out just the seeds that are mixed in and leaves them there. However, since I ran out of seeds today I used a fruit mix the vet gave me and mixed it in. That's when he started acting hyper. Is hyperactivity normal in a parakeet? I know their quirky I'm just not sure if I fed him too much sweets?

He also just started spinning his head like he's from the exorcist.

Update:

nope he's still squawking

Are you sure he is not reinfested with mites? I'm sure the vet told you to clean his environment thoroughly that includes every nook and cranny in the cage, coversand surrounding area.. A follow up visit to the vet wouldn't hurt

Keep a close eye on him because one of my parakeets died after acting weird like this. Watch him and if he starts acting a little stranger take him to the vet.

Take him to the Vet if you need to don't try to hold him at all.If you do put him back and put a towel over the cage and in the morning go get some of his regular food!!

    He is most likely dead.
