Can i split my ethernet connection using adapter?

I have a modem and router. When i connect my ethernet to the router, i get constantly dropped every minute or so. But when i connect directly to the modem it runs perfect. Is there a product that i can put into the back of the modem that allows for 2 ethernets to be conncted instead of just the 1?

Thanks

Your setup won't work the way you want. That's what the router is for - it allows several computers to use the one internet connection. You need to sort out why your router is dropping the connection. You haven't said but I assume you have a cable setup with virgin media if its an ADSL setup it won't work

Dropping connections via a wired connection is unusual so if this is the case your router may be faulty, if its wireless then this may be due to interference from nearby networks electrical fittings, poor compatibility between router and wireless adapter weak signal, outdated drivers, firmware.

I would reset the router according the the manufacturers instructions (usually a reset button on the back) and if thats no better troubleshoot your connection by going to the manufacturers or ISP helpline. With the limited info you have provided that's the best we can do

Yes there is but it more than half's the bandwidth and is not recommended. I am not sure of your setup but you don;t usually have a router and a modem connected.

take a check out installation a gateway software on your gadget that is already appropriate to the neighbor's instantaneous router. inner for your position, you'll then configure your router to apply your pc because the ISP surely. Your pc's instantaneous connection might want to be appropriate to the instantaneous router, the stressed out connection might want to pass to the router and act because the ISP.
