Should I get an expensive double stroller or single stroller?

I have a 3 yr old and one on the way. I want to get a Maclaren double stroller for them when I go out. But... Sometimes my 3 yr old would walk, I guess I would put my diaper bag or whatever in the other seat. Should I invest in a single Maclaren instead? What would you do? I already have a single graco stroller, but maclaren's are more lightweight. Should I get a less expensive double stroller? I have no idea, but I don't want to waste money.

Do you have to buy it new? I am looking at a double stroller on craigslist so much cheaper...

I would get the double personally. Your child may walk but what if she gets sleep or really tired of walking? Or just jealous the baby is in there and she cannot be? Are you finished having babies? Because this could be used for another baby and your current baby. GL

The three year old will not sit in a stroller much longer and then you will have spent money on a double you do not need. Another alternative may be the sit and stand stroller. If you really want a double you could buy a used on off Craigslist.

Reminds me of my daughter a year ago lol...Her son was 3 and she was pregnant with her second baby ..She ended up buying the expensive double stroller and only used it a few times ..She already ended up selling it on craigslist. She said it was to much of a hassel and the 3 year old did not want to stay in it..She ended up buying a single light weight stroller after selling the double..

I would definitely get a double stroller!!! Because the toddler is going to sure enough when you have your hands full want to be carried or get a little tired. You don't have to waste ridiculous amounts of money on one though. Try a well reputed consignment shop or go somewhere like Target.

I say a single stroller. There is no way my almost 3 year old would sit in a stroller happily.

i would get a single you older child is getting to old for a stroler and no doubt he/she doesn't want to be in it any way.you can buy little stand on things for toddler that clip on to the back of a pram, they stand on and hold on to the handle as you would. i think they are great and really handy for when he/she does get tired of walking. Cheaper then a double stroller too i would imagin

single stroller/. it would be a waste of money cause your three year old wont be needing it later in the year. when my son was three we did not even use a stroller, he walked whereever we went. anyways i think you should get a single.

i think you should go for the double. although your 3 year old will be able to walk soon, I'm sure he/she will still want to stroll around and even nap in the seat sometimes. Theres also some types where one kid can sit and the other can ride on the back, like this one:

You should get a single stroller with a little pouch underneath for your bag and stuff.
