Should I feel bad about my 'weed' comment?

I would definitely not have said that I would feel bad if I was you I mean your basically saying because you like to smoke weed now you suck at life and are unsuccessful, and are a huge waste of space. You need to apologize that was totally out of line. Oh and who cares if they didn't get a college degree like you I mean is that the only way you define success in life... I think you need to think this over.

I'd say that drinking, depending on how much is consumed, can severely impair vision and your actions. And drinking for years can be fatal to your liver. Smoking anything is essentially harming your lungs, so if you run or do cardio on a regular basis, smoking can be worse on you. Then again, smoking is illegal. haha Some say smoking is a psychological addiction, while others say it's a physical addiction. But it depends on the person. So I think it depends on what you see as more important to a healthy lifestyle.

If you educate your kids about marijuana, then you should be able to smoke in the house with them. The key is INFORMATION. If your kids know about weed, then it probably won't hurt them. Like you said, smoking weed doesn't mean you are a failure. You used to smoke weed. I know successful people who smoke weed everyday.

Your comment was judgmental of her lifestyle. Maybe it is bad for her to be smoking around her kids if she doesn't educate them about marijuana ... like if her kids just come to think it is something completely normal that has no negative side effects ever. But, secondhand marijuana smoke isn't going to do anyone any harm. Marijuana does have carcinogens, but it doesn't cause lung cancer. It causes lung cancer in laboratory rats, but not in humans. Anyway, maybe she is educating her kids about responsible marijuana use. Did you ask her if she is?

The key is to teach your kids about marijuana ... about the bad AND the good ... and whatever wisdom you've picked up from smoking. Because the public school system isn't going to teach them anything about drugs. Nothing. Only that drugs are always bad and you should never, ever do them or you will fail. That is crap. Marijuana has definitely enhanced many people's lives. It has also messed people's lives up. Just teach your kids about it so they know. Information is power. Scare tactics and lies lead to kids figuring out the negative side effects for themselves, when somebody could have just told them.

After you realized your faux pas you should have been polite about it and changed the subject.

Its none of your business, and really, more to the point, your friends aren't going to change just because you disapprove. The lecture did nothing but make it worse.

We've all said things out of hand not realizing that the person we are speaking to completely disagrees or is even doing the very thing we spoke against. When that happens we are supposed to change the subject after an appropriate transitional phrase.

I don't think that people should smoke in front of their children. However its not like you're completely out of control when you're high.

I plan on getting high after I have kids.

Smoking weed is apart of my daily life and I don't plan on changing that.

You're completely wrong. Marijuana is MUCH healthier than alcohol. As long as you aren't actually smoking with the children in the room, I don't see what the problem is.

I have seen the effects of weed on many people. It is a pity they can't see it themselves. Although they think it it harmless, it is actually very detrimental to the brain. it is illegal for a very good reason.

Anyone who exposes children to illegal drugs should be locked up for child abuse.
