Was Obama blackmailed by Bill to make Hillary Sec. of State?

No. I think Obama really just saw Hillary as a good candidate. I'm sure he considered many others before choosing Hillary.

I was slightly wrong in my prediction some ten months ago. I predicted that Obama would choose Hillary as his V.P.

Why? Because Hillary sent her henchmen out to Kenya, Indonesia (and for some reason, Pakistan) at the very outset of the nomination campaign to dig up dirt on Obama. I really thought she'd sabotage his candidacy by exposing him as an illegitimate citizen. He was born in Kenya (see website below), and that completely discredited "Certificate of Live Birth" is a phony.

However, I failed to factor in one thing: the V.P. is a do-nothing job. You rarely see stories about the V.P. in the press, but you always read stories and see tv news about the Secretary of State. Condi Rice was sometimes higher profile than the President.

Hillary has some dirt on Obama. She's blackmailing him, that's for certain. I believe this had nothing to do with Bill Clinton. Hillary always does the dirty work.

I very seriously doubt it. Obama didn't need the Clintons' campaign support - he had plenty of money and plenty of endorsements - and why on earth would he care if Bill Clinton was acting like a baby?

No it was a classic case of keep your friends close and your enemies closer...

Obama knows that he's out on a limb with what he plans to do to our economy. In an effort to keep her from running again in 2012, which by the looks of things now, she would have a lot of support, he gave her a position on his staff.

so Hilary wont disappear in the background and she would remain "active". This would make it easier for her in the next presidential election.

Why don't you write him and ask instead of asking for the rest of us to speculate.
