Questions about belly button piercings?

How much does it hurt?

Is it hard to change the "ring" in it?

Any health risks long-term with having a belly button piercing?

How fast does it heal?

It truely doesnt hurt THAT bad, it just feels like a lot of pressure on your stomache, but its over very quickly.

It's not hard to change the ring, just a little scary the first few times, just wait 3 or more months to change it.

I haven't had any health risks, i got mine almost a year ago.

It can take between 3 months to 9 months to heal COMPLETELY.

Yes, you can sleep on your stomache, it might hurt for the first few weeks though, its not recommended.

and whatever you do, DONT LISTEN TO THAT POSTER, DO NOT TAKE ADVIL BEFORE YOU GO. they wont pierce it, if they're a trustable shop. The advil thins your blood or something, and its just not good. Take some AFTER you get it done, that would be fine.

    Good luck & have fun!

    Everybody has different pain thresholds.

I personally didn't find it that sore. Just a little pinch and its over in like 10 seconds.

I found it tricky changing the ring for the first time, because they put it on so tight to its hard to un-screw. But providing you leave it for a long time (i left my for 9 - 10 months) before changing it, its all fine.

I have had mine pierced for 5 years now, I have had no 'health risks' or infections, my looks pretty and clean, the key is just to keep it really clean, i used salt and water.

A couple of people i know who got it done, theirs went a little crusty, I think that is just from not moving it enough or cleaning it properly.

It heals... fast ISH! its a little tender for like a few days, but only went you get it caught on your top or hit it. After a week it feels fine, but don't change it for a long time, just so the inside can heel too.

Yes you will be able to sleep on your stomache, i don't even notice mine now... it doesnt hurt ever. I can go on slides and flumes on my stomache, i can sleep on my stomache. Its all a bit of a myth that you can't. The only way it will rip out is if you or someone else rips it out with force.

    good luck!

it does not hurt at all dont worry i didnt even feel mine

the hardest thing with chaning the ring is if yu have a hoop, its a little hard to get the ball off but not that hard

having yur belly button pierced for long term is fine there are no problems inless yu get it ninfected witch is rare normally it just gets a little irratated

it depends on yur body some belly buttons take one month to heal and others takes up to one year mine was about 2 months but i changed it after one month

you cant sleep on your stomach for about a week and like 2 or 3 days but then its fine and worth the wait

i got belly button pierced when I was 18, i am 27 now. i have never had any issues with it.

i changed the ring after 6 weeks, my dad had to use pliers to get it off, but no worries. i cleaned the spot with bactine everyday and kept it clean. It heals fast, little pussy here and there, but nothing terrible.

it did hurt!! ( i dont think i would do it again, haha)

it made a popping sound when the person pierced the skin, but after that it was fine. take some advil before you go. Dont do any drugs or drink alcohol before, that will make your experience worse!!

    Good luck!!

only thing that sucks, is when you get pregnant ( if you want kids) the scar on your belly button scretches out really bad and looks ugly afterwards, rub cocoa butter on it. :)

haha I'm a huuuuge wimp. I almost chicken out when she was putting the dot on my stomach but my friend made me continue. to be honest, the clamp is the WORST part. that thing does hurt. I didn't look when they did it and so after like 30seconds of the clamp being on I'm like "what is taking so long?" and then they're like "oh, it's done, I'm just putting the balls on" lol I didn't even realize when they put it through.

so, do what I did, take someone who you trust and hold their hand (okay, squeeze the life out of it) and don't look or think about it. you'll be fine!

they rest of the stuff the piercer will explain WAY better than anyone on here. and as for sleeping on your stomach, everyone is different but as long as I haven't irritated it lately I have no trouble sleeping on it. it took me about a week to be able to sleep on it.

It doesn't hurt much. It's less than thirty seconds, like a little pinch and its over and you have it as long as you want it after that! (:

Nope, it's not hard to change. As long as you've left it long enough to heal and it doesn't hurt, then you shouldn't even feel it being changed.

It takes around six weeks to heal but it depends on some people.

Yes you will be able to sleep on your stomach but only after it's healed.
