    If all 4 red lights are flashing;

    This issue may occur for one of the following reasons:

    The audio-visual (AV) cable is not connected correctly or is not plugged in to your Xbox 360 console.

    The console is not detecting the cable.

    This issue does not occur if the AV cable is plugged incorrectly in to a television, stereo, or VCR.

    Note This issue occurs only on Xbox 360 consoles that do not have a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) AV port.

    If this doesn't solve your problem please put more information as to how many red lights there are

    I had that error, Its either the AV cable, or the Scaler chip. Check your AV cable first, if that's not the problem, then its the Scaler Chip and will need to be sent off for repairs. There's also a very rare chance its the GPU, Mine was the Scaler chip.... Either phone up xbox support or go to the website and do it that way.

    Source(s): Had experience of this malfunction.

    Go to xbox.com/support and click on Red Ring. Follow instructions.

    Basically, you call them, they send you a box, you send them your XBOX, and 3 weeks later they send it back working, or send you a new one. Just make sure to remove your harddrive, memory cards, etc.
