More decor then fish.
plus if you end up getting too much fish they may eating each other. Sounds gross but it happened to me I got a tank with like 10 fish in it. I was told they all would get along. I fed them everyday and made sure they all ate. Cleaned the tank regularly and had that bubble thing for breathing. But after maybe 2 weeks they all started chasing each other and killing the other fish. very sad.

Personnally I like a lot of decor IF that decor is natural plants, wood or rock. I hate the plastic signs, scuba divers and all that.
Most fish love plants too, but some dont and some are plant eaters or diggers.
Your choice should ultimately depend on what fish you have.

I would go with one in between, lots of places to hide and feel safe. Start working from the back and sides and work to the middle and front. I wouldn't get crazy with the decor or to lax with it. A good medium between the two. With the plants, rocks, and other stuff and space in front, middle and top you should enjoy the look of your tank and the fish will be happier and very stress-free.
Make sure to look at the type of fish you keep and their requirements. Some need caves, ledges, driftwood, ect. do your homework!

Fewer fish with natural decoration.

More decorations than fish, I like to have a lot of decorations, but don't like, put a million plants in it though. That's my point of view.

I agree, less fish with more decor and plants is a lot more natural.

A Nice balance I would say. I like heavily planted tanks with a good piece of driftwood. Also though I like good mix of open water swimmers and pleco's to move around through the plants and make it seem like life is coming out of every nook and cranny. To each their own though.
