Free disk imaging/backup software?
I'm looking for a free program that can perform a complete system backup (registry, apps, everything- like Ghost or True Image) to an external USB hard drive. Any suggestions?
I don't need fancy options like selective/incremental backup or the ability to restore individual files- just something to take a snapshot of an entire drive and restore it. Preferably it should run from a bootable CD.
Thanks!

it easy I do this every few months drag all the files on to my 100 GB external hard drive. Its simple and effective. All the old files will be replace/ overwritten by the new/updated files with the same name.

Now if you avoided (or simply deleted) the word free, I might be
inclined to give you an answer.
Free - check an economics book - might help enlighten you a bit
but I doubt it

FOG came to mind but it is not what you want for this particular application.
Try one from this list for CD/DVD/USB booting

Windows
If you've used the 'dd' command on Unix before, there is a port for Windows too (I don't remember the build that did not require cygwin).
