How can I reinstall my iTunes without losing information?
I deleted the registry files so the burner would work again (and I'm hoping it will after I do this...).
I don't want to lose my play counts, album art, lyrics, comments on songs. Anything? D:
@ Korgrue;; My CD-Rom thing doesn't work, which is why I deleted the registries in the first place =X. My laptop isn't reading ANY of the discs I put into the drive :/...
But thanks to the other guy xD.

Just save your previous itunes library from your "My Music" folder -- "Itunes" then save all those files in that itunes folder to a different folder (lets name it Itunes backup).
When you upgraded/reinstalled itunes. go back to your My music folder and copy Itunes folder by doing ctrl + c on your **itunes backup** then ctrl + v and renamed it iTunes.
That's it :) open up itunes and WaLa just like the old ones :)

Off the precise of my head, i've got self assurance there is in straight forward terms one contemporary library record, and the rest do not matter, yet this would desire to be glaring from staring at them. reproduction those information to someplace else, then uninstall, then reinstall iTunes. i don't think of it deletes the library record, whether it rather is extra effective to make particular, using fact it would. whilst it rather is put in returned, merely replace the .itl record(s?). in the event that they're a similar length and alter date, your candy, iTunes did not delete them. If not, then bypass forward, and your nevertheless candy using fact you have subsidized it up. desire this facilitates

In the iTunes Menu
File>Library>Back up to Disc, insert blank cd or dvd rom.
IT will store all your counts and playlists and music.
You should do this regularly anyways to back up your music in case your HD dies.
