so my question is: what is the order that the symbols go in and what they are supposed to represent
unfortunately for me this is due tomorrow..so please help
thanks in advance

Since we are dealing with totem poles Id say start with the raven since lotsa inuit tribes there considerr it sacred... then a memebr face and a representitive like a animal clan... possibly Grizzly,Kodiak,or even get or google an Unit story and see their stories told on the pole... get it?
Raven, clan feature/slike the bears an other like a fox ,wolf, even Mouse... ,water spirits like either a whale or Orka,,ya have to be distinct..on what water people you piut on the pole... good luck.... Hope this helps...

I've given thought to a totem pole myself. I always thought that you put your totem animals on there. For me I thought the Red-tailed Hawk be on top, then wolf, then eagle and last horse. I could be wrong. I am willing to hear from others more on the totem pole. I love to learn as I learn more and more about my heritage so I can be deeply rooted in it.

Hmmm. I don't get all of the school assignments that ask students to mock Native culture. I know that it isn't intended to mock Native culture but it does.
PEOPLE, totem poles, stories, names, etc. are not made up just because. Obviously a person who requests these things be done has no clue about the culture and their attempts to honor or teach about the culture only bastardize it. It is truly disrespectful.
If you aren't of a people who have totem poles as part of their culture, you shouldn't be having anything to do with 'making up' a totem pole.
