i keep seeing people being called trolls, what does it mean?

Trolls look like me.

Trolls are problem makers; they come in three main flavors.

1) Problem starters that say inflammatory things just to start fights.

2) Cuss trolls that just say rude things and usually get deleted.

but the worst are

3) Sheep's clothing trolls. They pretend to be of a belief, religion, or opinion that they are not just to give backhanded insults and be rude while someone else gets blamed for it. For example pretending to be a Christian then saying that atheists should be put in concentration camps. This will simultaneously infuriate Atheists while being ignored or simply missed by most good Christians. Worse yet, it can encourage people who are already rude to be worse (getting on the intolerance bandwagon).

These trolls are the worst because they can really cause hate and misinformation between people who already have an uneasy relationship.

Or placed stupid hyperlinks into solutions directing people to make money web pages or purchase low fee products web pages. OR Asks a question and then comments the persons answering in straight forward terms for kicks. i don't call them TROLLS lots - they're unhappy low life losers extra advantageous than something

The first answer is correct. Trolls are people who will construct questions in a way to outrage the greatest number of people.

A troll is one that posts questions or answers to make others angry or upset. People on R&S often misuse the term to include stupid questions.

A Troll's high is starting e-arguments/e-fights.

It means immature people using the internet just to p!ss people off.

It means they post messages/questions that are basically nothing more than spam.

People who ask stupid questions just to get a rise out of others.
