For what age do you/can you throw an "over the hill" party?

I want to have a suprise party for my mom. I saw some really cute "over the hill" decorations and I want to make that the theme of her party but I want to make sure it's appropriate. She'll be 60.

Is there a certain age milestone to throw an "over the hill" party???

In my neck of the woods people start this stuff at 40, but I think that is too young. 60 sounds just right. By then a person totally realizes that they are indeed over the hill.It is about the time we all rib each other about memory loss, achy joints and the like. We look at the obituaries in the newspaper first to see if our friends are there. You sound like a great child to do this for Mom. I hope she enjoys it.

That would be perfect.. usually most "over the hill" parties I have been to are for people turning at least 50

That would be great.....but over the hill is usually when someone turns 50. But that will be okay too. Good luck*
