Best virus protection for a lap top?

what is the best virus protection and anti- Spy for a lap top one that you can down load on more then one lap top at a time?

    The best virus software you can get is McAfee SecurityCenter. We have had it for 2 years and have never had a virus. Before we had it we had gone through 3 different computers due to viruses.

    I've used McAfee for many years. It is simple to operate, does a lot of the decision making on its own and is relatively inexpensive. I think it is like $90 a year for 3 computers.
