What would you do with $3,000?

If you had $3,000 and no bills to pay, what would you buy or do with the money?

    Good day,

First thing is to remember that you can't look at the here and now. You need to look ahead, first is there anything coming up you will need to pay for .

If not you need to stay somewhat liquid.

Myself, I would put $1000.00 into a savings account for unexpected issues. I would then go to a few bank and look into 3,6 and 12 month CD's (rates). I would not put the full $2000.00 into any one CD break it into 2 accounts, so they mature at differant times (1 at 6 months and other at 12) because CD interest rates change.

This would keep your money liquid and get a good return. Do not waste your money in todays economy you need to be smart and look at what might be down the road. This way if a real emergency comes up you can get your money in an hour or less.

If you find you want to buy something down the road you can wait until they (CD) muture then take only the interest and buy, but never take the principle.

DO NOT buy anything that could buy into the stock market, or any kind of long or short term annuitys. This wold tie up your money and could cost you if you take it out before it mutures.

All I want to say don't waste this money and look ahead before you spend it. If your going to buy anything wait 3 days and if you still want it then wait 3 more days then go look at it. I find most people that wait 5 to 6 days find they really didn't want it or didn't need what they got.

GOOD LUCK, use your brain to fight off temptation.

Divide it up, invest some in long term growth accounts and some in short term high risk accounts. Once I had enough I would use that money to take over the world and make being a ***** illegal and I would be the sole judge in determining who is and who isn't a *****.

I would buy a flat panel TV and a new washer and dryer. If there is any left over I would buy some hoodies.

Bank it. You get interest for it. Then, I'd spend it on, uh, I don't know. Probably half to family, and half for technology or computers and stuff like that.
