How do I disable the alarm in my 2000 Toyota Corolla?
I bought my Corolla a few weeks ago as a used car. Now, the remote for the alarm doesn't shut the alarm off. How do I fix the remote or disable the alarm?
Apparently the battery in the remote is working. My dad said he tested it.
The guy who sold us the car only gave us one set of keys and one alarm box.
I can't find the button to disable the alarm. Any specifics or diagrams?

there is a silent mode option on the remote...or try the switch below the dash...(maybe below the keyhole drive)!

You say the remote is not working? Did you check to see if the battery was dead in the remote? Do you have another remote to confirm this? If you call or go to your local Toyota dealer, they may be able to tell you where to locate the fuse/wire to disarm it.
If you bought it a few weeks ago, do you have a warranty? You can also take it back to them to fix it.

go to auto parts shop if you want the remote fixed, they will take apart the remote and put in new battery, yes the remote uses a small flat battery, I had to get my replaced too so it would work again, and when you push the button then it will shut the alarm off
