"Messianic Jews": Why do you call yourself Jews rather than Christians?
Your religion obviously does not align with Judaism but rather seems to align quite closely with Christianity. If for some reason you don't want to call yourselves Christians, then why not come up with a *new* name for yourselves instead of adopting the name of a religion with which you have almost nothing in common?
I'm talking about your belief system, not the Jewish rituals you mimic.
Judaism - One God and none other
Christianity - God and Jesus, main focus is Jesus,
"Messianic Judaism" - God and Jesus, main focus is Jesus. This is clearly not Judaism.
What is there to not understand?

Bravo Marcuss, They just don't get it. To believe in Jesus is to accept the idea of the Trinity [father, son, holy ghost| which is 3 We have our main prayer called the Schma which states "Hear oh Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one." {1] 3 -1 is 2 which is two troo many

They want to feel Jewish without having to put all the hard work in to really be it.
Imagine if there were a group of athletes that wanted to feel they were the best in the world, but instead of training hard and going to the olympics, they created their own fake olympics so they could win every time.
Messianic Judaism exists so people can feel Jewish in their own eyes without having to actually do the hard work that makes one a Jew.
I'm talking about real Torah observance, not the fake kind that they do.
And their trinitarian beliefs?
Well, many of them spend a lot of time talking down the Church for its pagan elements, and they'll talk of how the original followers of Yeishua had a pure form of worship which was corrupted by the Church, yet no matter how hard they try to remove the 'pagan' elements of Christianity, to get back to a more 'pure' form of "Messianic Judaism", they just can't give up their golden calf. Trinitarianism. It's just too scary to imagine that they were wrong about that too.
They talk about how the reform of Martin Luther didn't go far enough, yet they're guilty of the exact same thing. Keeping all sorts of pagan ideas which have nothing to do with real Judaism.

First of all it depends what do you define as Messianic Jews. Actually, a very famous Ultra-Orthodox movement of messianic Jews by the name Chabad is one of the most popular Jewish messianic movements. The name Chabad presents the Hebrew letters חבד. Each on its own stands for another principal which is a core value for this movement: חכמה=wisdom, בינה=insight and דעת=knowledge. By know it is clear that this movement is founded on value of reason and logic, although it is criticized for its spiritual inclination when in the late 1990s its followers had thrown their Rabbi (The head of a religious movement) as the Messiah and still believe he is, even a decade after his passing away. Still, the Chabad movement is one of the leading Hassidic sects in the Jewish world which contradicts any claim what so ever as to hatred Jews feel towards Messianic sects inside Judaism. Messianic sects which are not Jewish is a whole non-related story and I also think there is no hate towards them either.

They want to feel closer to the religion Jesus actually was. Only thing is, Jesus never worshipped himself.....he only called himself the messiah just to fit in with the needs of reaching his message out to people, technically he doesn't fit the bill for the true Judiac messiah.
Christianity is a religion based on Paul and the various contrived beliefs of the Greeks, Romans, and a heavily edited religion to appeal to the masses (no offense to Xians but that's what I really think).
Judiasm is NOT synonomous with Christianity. Judiasm is NOT "Christianity without the Jesus" or "just the Old Testament". Its so much more than that. The Jewish religion acknowledges many paths to God meanwhile most Christians believe their way is the only way. The Old Testament of Christianity is a poorly translated text written in Greek and Aramaic, not Hebrew. There are so many inconsistencies and fallacies I cannot even begin to say.
Okay, enough ranting and comparisons. Truth is, there is no such thing as a "Jewish Christian". A Jew is a Jew, a Christian is a Christian, and so forth. The two don't mix.

We know why - the Christian Evangelicals that pose as 'messianic jews' are part of a Cult that's been around for decades.
They used to call themselves 'hebrew christians'. They stopped using that name: it wasn't fooling enough people.
Then they rebranded and came up with the notion of actually *claiming* to be PART of Judaism - even though they're about as 'jewish' as Osama Bin Laden.
Messianics are LITERALLY NOT JEWISH.
Just like Hindus and Muslims and Catholics are *literally* not Jewish.
Messianics are condemned by all Jews and 99% of Christians.
They can lie as much as they want: but all Jews and all TRUE CHRISTIANS know that the Messianics are making a mockery of BOTH Judaism AND Christianity.
Much more info: http://www.ajewwithaview.com/
And what is beyond belief is that anyone thinks THEY have a right to come along and REdefine what is and is NOT part of JUDAISM.
Guess their lies and deceit are between them and their god.
He isn't ours, that's for sure.

Nothing is beneath the dignity of a fundamentalist Christian when it comes to conversion, including lying. Hence, "Messianic Jews".

You are correct. Messianic Jews is a fraud. They should call themselves Messianic Christians.
99% of these people are Christians, and not Jews!

They are actually Christians, but call themselves Jews to lure REAL Jews away from God.

"Messianic Jews" are Christians.
Period.

They think we are stupid enough to believe they are not Christians, and nothing more.
