Snow and temperature question?

If the temperature is reported as being just above freezing, but the wind chill makes it feel more like 8 degrees colder, does it affect snow melting? We have a dusting here at the moment, and I'm just wondering if it'll stick around. Thanks!

Temperature and windchill are two different things. Snow is not effected by windchill, so no- it won't stick. Sorry :(

Snow does not understand "wind chill", and I am not sure that I do either. It does understand temperatures above and below freezing. Above freezing, and it hangs about; under it melts away.

as far as i am aware wind chill only affects warm blooded animals, so the temp outside will still be just above freezing and therefor the snow will still melt
