1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoThe little black and white square in the top right hand corner of the screen on ITV?
They always have this little box in the top right hand corner of the screen when they're about to go to a break. What's the purpose of it? Is it for Sky+ or whatever to stop recording?
11 AnswersOther - Television1 decade agoQuestion about company behaviour?
My husband works for a company currently looking into redundancies. As part of that process, members of staff were invited to ask any questions that they felt needed answering about the process. One question involved why management weren't up for any potential redundancies, as one member of the team appeared to be under performing. The reply, by email, was 'Don't be an idiot'. Surely the management team have a responsibility to be professional? BTW, it wasn't my husbands question ;)
1 AnswerOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoWhy did God let Jesus be tempted by Satan?
I'm confused by this event, as according to the Trinity, God is Jesus. What was the purpose of Jesus wandering in the wilderness for 40 days? This is a genuine question from a new Christian, and I'd appreciate genuine answers. Thanks!
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat to wear for job interview?
It's a part time job in a pet shop/ garden centre. I thought that going in a suit was a bit OTT, so was going to wear smart jeans/top with smart boots and coat. What do you think?
4 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoMy five year old lies to me all the time. How to discipline?
IT's over silly things like putting toys away, flushing the chain, eating his dinner etc. I've tried sending him to his room, removing toys etc but nothing seems to work. Anyone have any experience with this? What did you do?
No silly answers please, I really need an experienced parents view.
16 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoSnow and temperature question?
If the temperature is reported as being just above freezing, but the wind chill makes it feel more like 8 degrees colder, does it affect snow melting? We have a dusting here at the moment, and I'm just wondering if it'll stick around. Thanks!

5 AnswersOther - Ireland1 decade agoWeird science question?
We were travelling in the car yesterday when my five year old son asked why things were going by the car faster on one side than the other. We had houses to one side, and open fields to the other. I know what he meant, that we seemed to be going faster past the houses than the field. It's obviously a perception thing, but I was wondering what it's called?

I understand the logic of protecting the victim, but surely the accuse deserves the same protection unless found guilty?
18 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWho else loves the new Benylin advert?
Apparently, a number of companies have complained about the new Benylin campaign, which tells you to take the day off work if you're ill. I love it! I'm sick of all those ad's that tell you to soldier on regardless. If I'm ill, I want to be able to stay at home without being made to feel guilty!!!

1 AnswerOther - Electronics1 decade agoWhat's the first news story that you remember affecting you?
For me, it was the Jamie Bulger murder case. I was about 13. I think that it was the first time I really understood that the stories on the news involved real people. Before then, it all went over my head.
