As it needs to be Kid friendly I would tend to avoid the pubs and inner city Dublin
Have you approached you local GAA club? Most are now offering function rooms for such events at a reasonable price

Depends what venue.. I would suggest one of these.They are called Capital Bars they have beautiful design and good music.
The best for me would be Howl at the Moon
