Question about wireless connection?

I have a Xbox 360 and got a wireless adapter for it so I could get on Xbox Live. I also got a wireless modem from my internet company. My xbox isn't picking up the signal from the modem, how do I fix this?

I'd suggest you get a new router, or you could move the router and 360 closer together in your house. Note that the adapter will not pick up on wireless n, only a/b/g.

Find out if your X-box and modem are compatible(use the same frequency). Your modem should also have some security scrambling which your X-Box may not be able to interpret.

Obviously they cannot communicate ... find out why by emailing the two manufacturers or checking with the local store(s) where you bought these products.

you cant use the modem to read of your online the peace you got the wirerless adaptar only reads of wi-fi so the only way you can get it to work is if you get a wireless router in your house and hook that up to the modem so it can read. some good routers cost about 100$ so yea i sujjest you play with a ether net cable intile you buy one and hook it up

Sometimes you have to get into the modem (from the computer, don't open it) and turn on the wireless.

usually typing in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your browser will get you to the options of the modem.
