How Much would it cost to go to California from New York by train?
I just wanted to know its for me (14) My mom my aunt and my other aunt so 1 child and 3 adults...i would prefer to leave from The New York Penn Station and arrive somewhere near San Fransico so if you can find some really cheap tickts over there can you tell me plz thanks!

Your choice is Amtrak.com, which is the only US passenger train that runs across the country. You'll need to switch trains in Chicago and it will take 3--1/2 days. You'll need to worry about your food. (Take food for on the train, eat in Chicago Union Station, eat in the cafe or dining cars.) Fare would be around $700.00 total. Bedrooms would be even more, but you'd get your meals free.
The Denver to San Francisco (actually to Emeryville) section is incredibly beautiful.
