Question about 1 year old daughter..?

My daughter is constipated, what can I give her so that she can have a bowel movement? Does anyone have any home remedies that I can try?

Thank you for responding...

You will probably have to give her a baby enema. Drug stores will have them.

Once you get that taken care of make sure you give her some juice a couple of times a day. If she is drinking only milk it will constipate her.

Also give her some fresh fruit at least once a day, maybe some raisins and they should take care of it.

home remedy --- when my kids were constipated i would put some Light Karo Syrup(found with pancake syrup in the grocery store) in their bottles of milk/formula. Usually about a teaspoon will work. I'm not sure how it works but it does and it works faster if you use warm milk/formula.

Try the baby food: prunes or blueberries.

Does she eat a lot of bananas? These may tend to contribute to her problem. Good luck.
