Who should the Eagles try to get as a WR in the offseason?

The Eagles have two main problems as it relates to player personnel - they need a good powerback, and a good "star" receiver.  They also need to think about replacing Runyan and Thomas soon as well if they even resign either of them this year.

But the WR issue is one that has stuttered the Eagles.  Had TO for one season and went to the SB.

TJ Whosyomomma is the biggest name in terms of known FA's at this point.  He would be a good addition, however the Eagles also have two first round draft picks to work with as well if they wanted to trade for a player.

I'll also be realistic about things, there is no way they are getting Moss, Fitzgerald, Andre or Calvin Johnson etc.  

I'd really like to see them make a move for Torry Holt, sure he's getting older at 32, but the guy can still play, and its feasible to get him through a trade.  Boldin is another possibility as well.

I say keep Jackson, Curtis and Avante and get rid of Brown, Basket and Lewis and add a good possession type receiver that can get it done.

Too much blame gets thrown on Donovan, if people actually watch the games they'd realize most of it is dropped passes.

I agree with most of what you said; I love McNabb, I think you got the right recievers staying in your write-up, although, I do think there is a spot for Basket even as a 4th reciever. However, I do not think WR should be a 'top' priority going into this offseason. They need to address their aging offensive line, specifically OT, because I think Tre and Runyan are dunzo. And even though I love Celek to start in 09', they will have to address TE, probably with a draft pick if not thru FA because I dont see LJ Smith back next year in midnight Green. Obviously, like many others have stated before me, Buckhalter is probably leaving town as well, so we will need to find somebody to help "Westy" carry the load, God forbid him getting hurt. To me, all of this equals many things that will take priority over getting a premier reciever even though it would be nice. DJ is hopefully gonna be the next Steve Smith, and has thus far looked the part, and honestly, a healthy K Curtis is a more than adequate, if not great, second option. I just dont see this being the year we spend dough on a big name.With that said, how sweet would it be to land a TJ Houshmanzadeh or Anquin Boldin!!?

Chad Johnson isn't traded for a 0.33 or 2nd around %., i think of it would must be a prevalent rounder. Larry Fitzgerald is set to stay in Arizona and Walker is a ok participant yet he's a toddler and continuously needs to depart his communities. So.. I say.. if the vikings don't get him, BERNARD BERRIAN great deep risk that the eagles ought to apply.

as a a eagles fan and a philly native i would love to c a sure handed receiver but that wont fix the fact that my qb cant hit a receiver in the numbers i would rather go 4 a power back cause buck said hes going somewhere he can start fly eagles fly anyway gang green all day

i actually think hank baskett is way underrated so i disagree about releasing him.

if they are actually willing to make a trade, it would be sweet to see them get andre johnson. i don't think it's completely out of the question, seeing as houston needs some help.

Draft Michael Crabtree he is an awesome player..TJ will be likely a target but i think they will be over the salary cap giving him a huge contract..
