Did anyone notice the Super Bowl commercial...?

Where they did a parallel of Bruce Lee and Gina Carano during a Pepsi commercial?

It was like "then and now" kind of.

What did you think if you saw it?

I love almost everything that has to do with Bruce Lee, and Gina Carano? *drool*

I liked it, but I was a little sad because I think a lot of what Bruce Lee stood for did deal with progression in the martial arts specifically and if he were alive today, I would guess he may be involved with the evolution of MMA in one regard or another. The focus was on "time's a-changin' ", though, so I can appreciate the message. That footage of him is over 35 years old, after all!

Maybe the point was showing a strong man next to a strong woman?

Oh well... I like Coke better anyway!

I loved the contrast. Bruce Lee fought to become a film star and fighter and to break those racial views and thoughts of his time. Gina is the new version of people not giving MMA a chance let alone giving Women's MMA a chance.

I thought it was great that MMA has come far enough to be represented in a Pepsi commerical during the SuperBowl. It shows how far MMA has come and new outlets of different Art forms.
