What are the best dresses for this kind of body?

I am 5'10. I have long legs. My upper body is bigger than my legs and thighs. I want a dress that will be flattering and help to hide my middle section, which is my trouble area. Basically, I want a dress that will make me look as thin as possible!! What are the best dresses for this?

P.S. Pics or links would be very helpful!! Thanks! :)

Update:

I am 20 years old

Update 2:

Ok I maybe should have mentioned the occasion. This is not for a formal or prom. This is for a performance. I will be singing on stage and I just want a trendy, stylish dress. Nothing to fancy!

An empire waist is elegant and lovely---fabric drapes and flows right under the bust to flow over and hide tummy problems and looks romantic.

Purchase a loose dress, nothing too fitting. Another style you might like is a bubble hem, which also hides the tummy area and is a little bit more on the modern side.

You should take advantage of your long legs with a ballgown, A line dress, or, to show off, a shorter dress.

V-necklines are very flattering and slimming.

Something with a higher waist, that's flowy, or at least, not tight, but not poofy. It also helps if the waist has a wider band (if you know what I mean), because it balances out really well.

dresses like these are very slimming because the low cut brings attention upwards or to your legs, and the wrap in the middle creates the illusion of a tiny middle
