Long Distance Valentine's Day?

I like the webcam idea. Then you can see each other for a while and continue in the future. Maybe if you guys already do the webcam you can get him something engraved (like from things remembered) with your anniversary on it.

A love letter!

We were sorting through some of my mums things the other week and found love letters that mum and dad had sent each other over 50 years ago when my dad was in service - and some were almost risque for their generation!

You could write down everything that you're feeling and thinking and if you're creative you could even enclose a poem. Fill the envelope with heart shaped table confetti, and POST it to him, snail mail!

It's ok having email, text and instant messenger and the like, but if that had existed 50 years ago, my daughter and I wouldn't have been able to spend a sunday afternoon sat reading my mum and dads love letters. xx

The whole don't spend money on me is just a kind gesture of i will 'love' you whether or not you buy me stuff. So id say spending money is perfectly ok and will appreciate the surprise of a gift. It depends on what he is into what type of guy he is.

if you do want to spend money on him gadgets are normally good for guys

well, maybe you can send him a webcam and say meet you 2.14 at 7pm?

or send him something nice like cologne.
