Bike Insurance cost for 23y old male?

Just looking to get an idea of how much insurance might be on a bike. I'm 23, male, and i would only start out with a 125CBR or Ninja250. Anyone have any ideas on what i should be looking at for price? I plan on using StateFarm because they only look at the CC's of the bike. (Or so I have been told)

Update:

Dr.Brawn: I don't care how many cockmeat sandwiches you had to eat for your insurance, I use money to get insurance like most people.

I should have been more clear, StateFarm only looks at CC in regards to the bike, they don't care about type.

I have a clean record, I have a car insured. When peopl say 220 a month or 200 or whatever, do you have to pay for a full year even if the driving season is only 6-8 months? (I live in Canada)

No one only looks at CC's. They'll all look at driving history and credit history. I bet you'll find Progressive and Geico have the lowest figures.

It'll vary a lot based on what you want and what your state requires. If you just want liability, $150 a year, if you want collision, comprehensive and coverage for your own injuries $200 a month.

So I also live in Canada, State farm used to only look at CC's up until this year when Dejardain bought them out. My insurance on my R6 went up huge. I was 75 bucks a month until they changed all their policies. Now they won't even insure super sports and only take on customers that were existing clients with bikes.

They are A holes and Canadians get screwed on insurance overall.

The ninja 250 will probably still be cheap, my guess would be around 100 or 120 a month. When you are 25 the rates go down keep in mind.

the 125 and 250 bikes are considered sport but not super sport so you should be able to get decent rates still.

Check in to your state laws. I am in Florida, and here, if you own the bike, you do not have to have it insured. You just are required to wear a helmet. If you have insurance, you can ride without the helmet. Now to insure a Ninja, here in Florida, depending on your driving record, anywhere from $80 to $200 a month. Like I said, depends on your driving record as well as the fact that it's a fast *** bike. :) Good luck!

It varies between states, but I live in Utah and you'd probably be looking at about $800/yr. if you have a clear driving record.
