I am just as excited as you are. Two of my favorite fighters (Mir and Hughes) against two of my least favorite fighters (Steroid Yeti and NY D-Bag).

I want Mir to beat Lesnar, but I don't know how. Mir's boxing was perfect at UFC 92, and Lesnar has yet to fight a skilled striker. Plus, Lesnar's chin has never been tested. Also, Mir is a BJJ Black Belt, and again, Lesnar is relatively inexperienced against the submission game. The question is: How much has Lesnar's submission defense improved? Lesnar also has the size and strength advantage (like 80 pounds) that Mir might have trouble with. If Mir's striking matches his striking at UFC 92, Lesnar will get eaten up. I'd give striking and submission to Mir. Wrestling, strength and size to Lesnar. The key will be how Mir can deal with the brute size of Lesnar. I predict Mir by 4th Round Submission.

Serra and Hughes. I cannot see how Serra win if Hughes can get back to his old habits. But, Hughes is old and tired, and Serra is still pretty young. Hughes' wrestling is still great, but his stand up is fading. Serra (who we haven't seen in a while) has questionable striking, but we know he has KO power. He is also a BJJ Black Belt, but he could do nothing against GSP. Hughes must take Serra down and pound him out, just like in his championship days. Wrestling goes to Hughes. Submissions go to Serra. Striking goes to Serra by a little bit. I predict Hughes by Round 3 TKO.

Hughes by KO Ground and pound second round. Lesnar by KO stand-up first round.

Hughes might be too old to fight if he loses and Serra isn't that good. Serra as good as a Koscheck.

Lesnar would have beat Mir if their was no stand-up by the ref last match. Lesnar wouldn't be knocked out by Mir stand-up. Lesnar beat Randy Couture boxing so he will be able to beat Mir boxing. Lesnar so big and a skilled wrestler I don't see Mir taking him down.

Lesnar 2nd or 3rd rd. Hughes 3rd round.

I don't think brock will make the same mistakes as last time. I don't see how mir can win if brock just doesn't make a mistake. Brock is a great wrestler, and it will be too hard for Mir to take him down. This means that Brock will dictate if this fight is standup or goes to the ground. Either way, I think brock has the advantage seeing that brock was raining punches in their last fight.

  • hughes by submission in the 2nd

Lesnar by ko in 2 because yes Mir did good in his striking against Nog but how does he expect to do that good against a guy who breaks bones with one punch. Also I don't see Lesnar rushing Mir like he did last time.I see Lesnar making it a standup game.
