What's some information on the states Hawaii, Texas, Alaska, Maryland, and New York?
I need information on the region, capital, largest city, and some fun facts. I'm going to choose one of the first 5 people have the best answer (10 points) unless they don't have the information I need.

I am originally from North Potomac, Maryland :)
This was a great site I found with facts about Maryland. Baltimore is it's largest city. The state bird is the oriole. The state flower is the Black Eyed Susan. The state beverage (weird!) is milk! It is also known as the Free State or Old Line State.
The state of Maryland is 9,774 square miles. It has 23 counties and one independent city. Montgomery County (where I am from) is the largest county with 927,583 people. There are 7 state forests and 40 state parks.

Alaska is twice the size of Texas, has 29 volcanoes, and contains over 1/2 the world's glaciers. Record high is 100 degrees F. Record low is -78 degrees F. Mount McKinley is the tallest mountain, at 20,320 feet. The most common wildlife are moose, grizzly bears, kodiak bears, polar bears, caribou, musk ox. Alaska was purchased from Russia in 1867 for under 2 cents an acre. The name Alaska means The Great Land. The state sport is dog mushing.
