why am i paying in taxes again!!!!!!!!?

my wife and i both claim zero dependents but yet have to pay in again. Why?

    You can file as married filing jointly (MFJ) or married filing separately. In most cases, it is better to file as MFJ. On MFJ many credits and deductions are not available.

    More info is needed to answer your question in detail.

    But to omake it simple to understand you guys made more money

    than taxes were taken out so the difference is calculated and you

    have to pay taxes on it, usuallyt if there are children you make up

    the difference there with earned income credit.
