Question about Buyer-Broker Agreement?

I just signed a buyer-broker agreemnt and submitted an offer to buy a house. then I noticed that the agreement has a an expiration date of 1 year.

does that mean I cannot deal with any other real estate agents for homes other than the one I applied for... am I stuck with one for a whole year??? please help

    You can call on other houses that you see listed if you want to, but your buyer agent (one you signed the contract with) will likely get half the commission if you buy anything within a year. That is ridiculously long - most are no more than 90 days.

    Yes..and you should have read it before you signed it.

    FYI...1 year is off the charts.

    Sounds like a scam artist.
