Is it the norm to use the term "maths" in the UK?
In the US, it's just "Math", no "s". I've seen that a few times in questions and figured it was people who have ESL, but the last one I looked at was from Scotland, so I wondered.

Yup, I'm from England and everybody uses maths, or in primary school it's numeracy :) A few people use math but only really in a toungue-in-cheek kinda way.
