Is it odd to purchase an Acer laptop but not get an OS cd?

Some say it should come with it while others say Microsoft is getting less generous with giving them out with systems.

    Most do not send an OS disk, rather they send a restore cd...but even now most companies are using part of the harddrive to store the restore files...since harddrives are so large.

    Acer laptops have a partition in the hard drive with for system restore. if you register your computer you can request an OS disk from Acer.
