I think it would be wise to Czech your boys nightly from now on. You never know when Lorena Bobbit might be lurking. I hear she has relatives in Prague.

There are no reputable studies showing the recidivisim rate you mentioned. Your question/survey is based an a lie and so the results mean nothing. You also fail to define "sex offender." It could include the dude who pees in the alley behind a bar and it might exclude the viscious person who shoves a beer bottle up the *** of someone. If you are asking about castration instead of other remedies, then you are a fool for even asking. If you asking about it in addition to other punishments, then it could have a limited place in the world.

I think its wonderful! Good for them for actually doing something about these predators. Here in canada a small time thief (meaning theft under 5000) gets more time than a sex offender.
Although, I do hope they look at it on a case by case basis. I dont think the 22 year old who dates a 16 year old should be castrated, but the guy who rapes/molests/looks,makes, or distributes child porn etc should def. be castrated, and serve time

I think they should use a dull knife and no anesthesia. Naturally, it's the government that should stop and not the sex offenders. It's Bizarro World!

A logical solution, that is good for the offender and the public.
If done correctly

Sex offenders can not be rehabilitated. They tried and failed, so why not, then we don't have to keep them in our jails and support them.
