if your child ran in front of traffic?

wouldn't you do everything possible to save them?

That's how Christians feel about salvation. We see our family and friends headed towrd hell and we are desperate to stop them. Hell is forever, and ever, and ever.............................

Are we talking about real cars or imaginary cars?

Also, doesn't that speak volumes about your character if you need the threat of eternal hell to be a good person? And doesn't that say something about my character if I'm a moral person without that threat?

    Hell is NOT forever...

    Hell = Hades...

(Revelation 20:14) And death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire.

    The 'lake' is elimination, destruction...

after this scripture is fulfilled, therer will no longer be any Hades.

Hell / hades is simply man's grave.

And when death is eliminated, there will bve no more graves...

(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

This can only apply to living people...the ones of...

(Psalm 37:34) Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it].

You're analogy is incorrect. People destined for hell is more like a child running in front of the Loch Ness monster.

So why does God order for the death of children several times throughout the duration of the Bible?

There is a difference between a child and a mentally competent adult.

Sorry it took so long to reply, but you ARE correct!! Thank you! (I would grab my "Child" asap! and give them a little 'swat' on the butt! and then hug them and say 'No more"!!) <')))><

Your analogy breaks down rapidly because the rest of us aren't CHILDREN. We're adults who are quite capable of looking at the same "evidence" as you, and making logical choices.

    In short: FAIL

Sure, I'd set up a system where people can just TELEPORT anywhere they want, and nobody would ever be hurt in a traffic accident again.

Your god is a sadistic, twisted evil tyrant. See, in your story, HE CREATED TRAFFIC AND MADE IT FATAL. It serves no other purpose.

That would have a lot more impact if you had some evidence that your deity and afterlife exist.

  • I taught my children NOT to run into traffic. They never did -- wow.
