Not Receiving Letters at BCT?
My friend seems to not be receiving my letters, this last time he wrote and he said none have come to him. The address is correct as is zipcode. I did however put a piece of clear tape on the back to make sure it stays sealed. Would this have effected the process?
Thank you.
Edited: Army BCT. He's been able to send letters to me. None have come back to me. - Thanks.

If you're talking about Marine Combat Training, the part after boot camp but before MOS school - Good Luck.
I didn't get any mail from the time BCT started to well into my time at MOS school.
The short answer is because at BCT you are in the woods the entire time and there is no mail. It gets sent to where ever you are and then you leave and they find out you leave and then it gets sent to your next location. It's like phone tag but with mail.

No tape shouldn't matter. Sometimes the TI's hold their mail til a certain period of time in BCT and sometimes TI's also don't let them write til a certain time. Maybe he mail is held because his platoon isnt performing well or aren't up to the standards of his TI. he'll eventually get them if you sent him letters to the write address and zipcode.

take a letter to his recruiter if you want and ask him/her why it isnt working
